They would stay in the area most of the time, late August during the rut there was a big bull that would control the whole herd, really something to watch. There was always a Ranger around not letting people get to close to them.

We stayed in a RV Park in Gardiner, Mt. which was a absolutely beautiful 5 mile drive to Mammoth, never knew what kind of animal you'd see. We work there 2 summers, tough life, but somebody has to do it!!!

We had to put up with this almost daily while working at Mammoth Hots Springs!!
