I hope to learn a lot. Having years and years of experience doesn't necessarily make me any smarter. There's always something more to learn.

Thanks. You and I started around the same time, so I KNOW you've had the same experiences that I did with the older manual, then semi-automatic, and then automatic cameras. Digital is so much easier, but sometimes I miss developing film and printing with an enlarger......

I've been into photography since 1971 when I purchased my first new camera, a Canon TL. Back then you had to pretty much do everything manually, which isn't all that bad. I learned a lot about exposures before the cameras took that off my hands and I could focus (pardon the pun) on composure. I've ben through more than a few camera bodies since then, but am currently loving my Canon 5D Mark II. I just sold my 100-400L series lens to my brother in law and purchased a new 300F4 L series to take its place. He'll use the 100-400 more than I ever did, and I think I'll find more places to use the fixed 300. Good deal for both of us if I'm right.
