I suggest you check with Sigma !!!
I wrote Sigma and they told me because the lens is too old that they will not repair or replace it. They only offered me a new lens at a discount.
I have a Sigma 70-300 zoom lens. When taking photos of my grandson’s soccer match where I have to zoom in and out quickly, the zoom ring is very tight and it won’t turn smoothly. Is there an adjustment to loosen the ring or a place to lubricate the ring so it turns more smoothly?
I have a Pentax K-3. I have taken photos with the camera set at different levels of sharpness (50%-100%) and can't really see a difference in the end product with the photos in jpg format. Am I doing something wrong? Should I be using the raw format? Why wouldn't you want the sharpness setting at maximum all the time?
Every major brand has excellent cameras in whatever price range you choose, but the most important feature to me is what a camera feels like in your hands and how convenient the controls are to use, but to do that you must go to a good camera store and try as many models as you can. I have a Pentax K-3 and love it. It's a large camera compared to some models, but I have big hands so it is a perfect fit for me, but maybe not everyone.
I have a K-5 and a K-3 and love them both and recommend them to anyone who will listen! I believe Pentax is the most underrated camera brand on the market.
You realize that the music festival was not held in Woodstock, NY, but in Bethel, NY. The organizers wanted to have it in Woodstock, but the town fathers wouldn't allow it.
I have 4 Sigma lenses for my Pentax K-3. I cannot tell the difference in picture quality between them and the Pentax lens that came with the camera. I would recommend Sigma to anyone who wants a quality lens at a reasonable price.
I have a Sigma 70-300mm and I love it. Although I'm not familiar with your camera, on mine (Pentax K-3), because of the way it and many DSLR's are constructed, the numbers of a lens appear 50% bigger than the numbers on the box, so the lens numbers are in reality 105-450. All Sigma lenses are high quality and very reasonable in price. I have 5 Sigma lenses for my Pentax K-3 and love them all.
I think you are selling yourself short by only considering Canon or Nikon. There are other options out there that are just as good and perhaps a better value. I personally have a Pentax K-3 (the newest) and a K-5 and wouldn't trade either one of them for anything on the market today.
How does one take a photo where the background is much brighter than the subject to avoid the subject appearing as a silhouette. I have a advanced DSLR (Pentax K3)?
In the cosmetics section of any drug store you can buy swabs tipped with foam for applying eye makeup. They don't leave any residue.
I've heard that Fugifilm still makes some of the hard to find films that Kodak no longer makes. Check out their website. http://www.fujifilm.com/products/film_camera/
I have found that whenever I am doing some function on my desktop computer that takes a long time, but doesn't require me to use the mouse or keyboard (defrag, file copying, etc.) the computer will sometimes slip into sleep mode; at that time all processes will stop until I wake it up.
I have 3 Sigma lenses for my Pentax K-3 and love them all. The photo quality is the same as the Pentax lens that came with the camera.
I have purchased several lenses from Amazon and have been thoroughly satisfied with their service, plus if you're an Amazon Prime subscriber, you get free shipping.
