Thanks. First time I ever got to shoot an owl. I was surprised to see how big this Great Horned beauty was. he was way up high in a tall tree and still looked big. He was hunched down in this shot.

Yes. We moved from California this past September, originally NY metro area. Full time Floridian now !

I want to give a big thank you to all who responded to my post about help with getting into birding in Florida, especially to Bill Nikon who graciously took me around to Green Cay and Wakodahatchee yesterday.It was a beautiful morning and Bill's experience and guidance was invaluable. Here are some shots, taken with my new Nikon Z8 and my old Nikon 200-500 f5.6. (Nikon Z 180-600 on order).
