A picture I took at the Florida State line of an old Blue Angels jet.

Been playing with a pinhole adapter on my Sony A230 camera at the Alvin, Texas Senior Center. It has it draw backs though. I have to clean the sensor afterwards.

A little fun with a cover picture. Photoshop Helping the Ugly and Lipstick on a Pig.
Our cat Sweet Pea likes to rest on the fancy cover my wife Sue made for her 1941 Singer Feather Weight Sewing machine on the table. Cats are strange, it can't be comfy at all.
Foreboding decay and the Window to Nowhere.
I haven't got a clue as to what the object is but it's in Galveston Texas in a little park area. In color it's really a boring object to look at but in B&W HDR, it looks better.
On a gloomy rainy day, our cat "Screech" (the cat with an awful voice) was in the window sill looking out. I took a series of photo's of her and used an HDR program to make the colors come out in the back ground. Images polished with Topaz Labs plug ins.
When this condo fire occurred, there was no one living in it after the storm damage from Hurricane Ike.
I posted one of these photos on Shutterbug.com's gallery "Picture this Red."

Battleship Texas
USS Chicago CG11
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
It is Howard and I was told they will be displaying more items from the USS Westfield in the near future.
My wife and I visited the Texas City, Texas Museum. They have a new display of a Dahlgren 9inch Cannon from the USS Westfield that was destroyed in the Battle of Galveston. This 10,000 pound cannon was recovered in 2009 from the wreckage and sent to Texas A&M College for preservation treatment. This is an interesting old beast, one of 1,200 made during the Civil War. In one of the pictures is a section of armor plate from the USS Westfield displayed next to the cannon. The rest of the photos of the museum can be seen at:
