Then you ask and she says “I told you ……”
I love #3 and #4. It almost appears as if the lighthouse is illuminating the moon that suspended above the smokestack.
Even though things have changed slightly since my wedding in 1980, this reminds me of that day. A friend was snapping random shot’s during the reception, only in his case the film wasn’t hooked to the take up spool. Slightly different, because he never realized it till he got the film ‘developed’.
Is the bear trying to get the girl’s attention? Thanks for sharing.
Great shots. Thanks for sharing.
The 45 mega pixel setting isn’t on by default. It’s only available using the 1x magnification setting. Any other magnification setting will be 12mp at most. To use the 45 mp follow the steps in the attached image. But beware, you’ll eat up your available storage quickly.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Too many hours working but that’s another problem I don’t expect anyone here to solve. The Equipment, Canon R6, two lens choices RF24 - 105 and RF 109 - 400. I’m attaching an image from tonight with manual focus, using the 100 to 400 zoomed to 400. Thanks for the help!
I took this image from my backyard Sunday night. While some stars/planets appear reasonably sharp, others not as much. I’m uploading the jpeg version of the image. Any comments o. How to improve the quality of the image, ie settings would be appreciated. Unfortunately a neighbor chooses to blare his flood lights towards our yard so this along with a lot of trees limits the points of view from home.
Now if the Camera and extra lens will get here. I placed the order Monday, B&H shipped Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. Fed Ex on the other hand thought I only needed the extra battery by Wednesday, and chose to let the camera and lenses tour the mid eastern states. B&H to their credit has reached out to Fed up express but probably didn’t get any further than I have. B&H has also offered to reship if need be. Fed up express basically said lay down and get a good nights sleep!
The deal is done and should be here tomorrow. I’m looking forward to enjoying it.
Ok, first a disclaimer, unfortunately work life has hit pretty hard to the tune of nearly 80 hours of work a week. Hopefully finishing training new employees and it will drop significantly. Add to that medical issues forced me to take a day off, so I actually have time to respond. My apologies for being AWOL.
To answer your questions. Camera progression: Yashica Electro 35,Yashica Mat 124, Minolta XG-7, Canon Rebel XR-1, Nikon D3300.
I’ve struggled with the Nikon on several levels, most notably it’s small size for my large hands, but at times it’s menu setup, a problem I never had with the Canon Rebel. (sarcasm alert) So the idea of a Canon with a more complex menu system seems like a great idea! Seriously I normally deal with technology very well.
So why the R-6. I first made the choice to go mirrorless, then the comfort level with the Rebel gave Canon an edge. I like the low light capabilities of the -R-6. While the larger pixel count of the R-5 is an advantage, it also brings additional cost (more expensive storage). So while the additional cost of the R-5 aren’t prohibitive, the return on the investment wouldn’t justify the extra expense.
I’m planning on purchasing a Canon R6 within the next week or so with the RF 24 - 105 zoom lens. I’m also planning on adding either a Tamron 150 - 600 zoom or Sigma 150 - 600 zoom. Looking for any shirt comings if this setup or alternative suggestions. I’ve considered the R5 but I’m not sure I would get enough bang for the buck in the upgrade. Meaning I’m an amateur, not a professional, but I know my way around a camera and understand exposure and the related settings pretty well. My primary subjects would bee grand kids, family grandkids / kids sporting events, and landscapes.
Any drawbacks to the R6 or related lenses you can point out would be appreciated.
