Hi Meives,
It's a pretty cool ride across Lake Michigan on the Hydrofoil. I'm guessing that's what you took, because that's what runs from Milwalkee to Muskegon. I've only been here in Grand Haven for 2 months and it's utterly amazing. This place is incredibly beautiful place with the beach steps away from my house in one direction, and what I call The Enchanted Forest, in the other.
Needless to say blessings and inspiration abound!
Nice to "virtually" meet you. :)

Thanks so much for the great info. Did a bit of lens research as a result.
Sadly I've come to find I cannot afford the Nikon 18-200mm VR DX...
It would be my dream lens.
The simplicity of for the most part...using one lens is really appealing.
So thanks.
Would like to know how you like your D3200.

:)
Thanks Tiger,
Brand new to this beautiful state.
Blessed to living on the beach in Grand Haven.
Talk about inspiring!

Amen to that!
Thanks,

Thanks Bill.
Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Nikon D3200 with an additional 55-200mm Nikon lens. What's your take on the difference between a 200mm vs a 300mm?
Thanks Bill.

Thanks Rich for the warm welcome!
And for poking fun at my technology challenges. :)
Looking forward to getting to know some folks and sharing the love of capturing images. It's been a passion of mine for the better part of 4 decades. I can still remember the smell of the darkroom chemicals...
Yikes...I am old!
Anyway, thanks again for the lovely welcome!

Thanks so much!
So happy to be along for the ride.

Pretty cool!
When shooting clouds or shadows I often see images after the fact that I didn't see at all when taking the shot. I'd show you an example, but sadly I'm still trying to figure out how to post a pic!
Gonna give it another shot...
Shot with my iPhone. Waiting to make a decision on a new camera.
Hi as well!
Beautiful kitty.

Couldn't agree you more! The more I learn to look at the simplicity of things, see through the eyes of a child, the more I remember what Imagination looks like! And knowledge doesn't even enter the equation!
(speaking of Albert :)))
I suppose that's what Art is.

Taken with my iPhone. Ready to decide between the Canon 1100D or the Nikon D3200. Have loved my Canons for years...but I'm thinking it might be time for a Nikon...

So happy to be part of this very cool site!
Gonna need to learn how to navigate a bit better through the amazing way we communicate here in the 21st century. Don't do any social media, so postings and such are new to me.
Anyway...glad to be part of a great global community of pho-togs!
Joyful shooting!
