After some additional research, this image is indeed a Monarch butterfly.....the Queen butterfly does not have black line markings also, the Queen butterfly does not migrate to Michigan. It(Monarch)does however, resemble a Viceroy butterfly....but....its not....A Viceroy butterfly has a "C" shaped black line in both wings.....the Monarch does not have those markings. My research is from the National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Insects & Spiders. Thanks for the great comments !
