Thanks for these great photos. I was there in 2005 and they were still restoring it. So great to see it completed!
Thanks so much for the clarification.
I use PSE 13 but would like to know the significance of only being able to work with 8 bit vs. 16 bit. Hadn't crossed my radar so far and would appreciate any feedback. Thanks
Saw the discussion on the "use of teleconverters" and I am wanting to get a 2X teleconverter for my Nikon 70-210 f4-5.6 D lens on my D610 but I don't see it listed at all on the Nikon compatability list. Any suggestions?
Took 2 trips to Cuba back in 2001, 2002. Back then still using a film camera but just took my Nikon F70 and 70-200 zoom. I'd recommend taking the Lumix, I have a Lumix w/ 12X zoom as a back-up and it takes photos as good or better than my old Nikon. Less equipment means less distraction (the experience is just, if not more important than the photo opportunities.) I don't think you would be disappointed w/ your results.
I have an I-Mac and considering an external hard drive for photo storage. Any suggestions?
I am looking for a backpack for camera gear as well. Has anyone used the Dolica DK-20 Medium Travel Camera Backpack?
Reasonably priced and holds two cameras which is what I need.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
I would go to macofalltrades.com to see what they are selling for. It should give you an idea what the price should be. Saw a similar 2009 model there @ $999.00
I searched for the Nest NT-404CT Carbon Fiber tripod and couldn't find it anywhere any suggestions. Couldn't find it on the Camera Cottage web site either
What glaring inefficiencies? Ken Rockwell has nothing but good things to say about the D600.
Has anyone heard whether or not Nikon has any intention in the near future of producing an affordable full frame camera. I am an amateur photographer using a D50 but would like to have a second body for use with my older full frame lens'. ~$2K is out of my league.
