Thanks to all Hogs that responded. I chose LR. Obviously, on the front end of the learning curve, but I think it will work nicely for what I want to do.
Thanks for all the responses!!
Have been using Aperture for years. Now beginning to crash frequently (MacBook Pro since early 2015). Looking for replacement. Considering LightRoom or Affinity, but will consider others. Shoot mostly sports. Need minimal post processing-crop, exposure compensation, white balance, compression for email, etc.
Recommendations and opinions please.
Thank you!
Thank you for your response!! A day off for New Years allowed deeper delving into Aperture. Found sorting options that allow corrections for "improper" imports. "New" D3S has been enjoyable. Can't afford the new stuff, and I am not interested in video, so..........D3 fits very well! Where do you live/shoot?
I recently purchased a Nikon used D3S (from a reputable national reseller) to compliment my Nikon D700. I shoot sports, especially D3 college basketball. When importing into Aperture (I know it is obselete), the import order is not in the same order as shot. I would prefer the "correct" sequence. Do I have a setting wrong? do I ???????? How do I correct??
Pic attached for environmental reference.
May have interest in D700. Lowest Price?? I do not do paypal. May have to arrange another payment method.
I shoot high school sports (concentration on basketball) with a 70/200-2.8 with MB-D10 . Nothing other than my physical resources. Always free - no "structural" aids. Has worked well for 4 years.
Goal is where the action is. Nikon D700 with 2.8/70-200.
I shoot high school b'balll for a local site.
Make me better!!!
THX-no AAU for 3 weeks. Will post then for more critique. Don't spare anything!! Thanks for comments!!!

Expand your thoughts. I "tinker" with white balance, and often use a set "temperature" rather than let the camera set. I shoot with a Nikon D700 and either a 24-74 or 70-200 zoom (both 2.8)
Again, criticism it well received and appreciated. Makes us better!
How should I get photos to blog for criticism?
I have been an "observer" of the forum for some time. I shoot basketball (grandson), and competitive cheering (granddaughter).
Here are some shots in a D-1 gym, and the high school venue. Have at it. Criticism is valuable. I also shoot car things though I find outside is much easier that gyms
Thanks for all comments
