Here is something I found out on the Nikon Website:
Nikon Limited Warranty and Product Registration

Nikon Limited Warranty
Nikon Mirrorless Z Camera Bodies, NIKKOR Z Lenses, Digital SLR Camera Bodies, NIKKOR Lenses, Nikon Speedlights, and COOLPIX Cameras.

These Nikon products purchased directly from Nikon Inc. or one of our Authorized Nikon Dealers or Resellers come with our One Year Limited Warranty. Please see the One Year Limited Warranty included in the product box for more details. Also, please keep your One Year Warranty and the original, dated proof of purchase for the product in a secure, dry place so that they will be available if your Nikon product ever needs warranty service.

I have the receipt from B&H but it is dated August, 2019. It states that a copy of a receipt has to be available. On the receipt it has the name of my daughter-in-law since I purchased it on a visit to Oregon to save the sales tax. According to the statement below, a Nikon Lens has a 5 year warranty.

There is no warranty transfer. And according to the above statement from Nikon it does not matter is the lens is registered or not. It still holds the warranty.

I would have the issue if I used the lens with her name on the receipt. I would have had to say it was a gift and here is the warranty sales receipt.

Also, I’m not sure if anyone else ever had an issue and what I am about to say is NOT TRYING TO TALK YOU INTO BUYING THE LENS but I have had many many Nikon lenses over the years since the F3 film camera and never had an issue.

Below is the statement on the length of the warranty. My lens should be covered until August of 2024, three and a half years from now.

Nikon cameras and lenses are covered by a 1 year warranty. Lenses have a 4 year extension of that warranty. If you have an issue under warranty it doesn't matter if it's in the 1st year or the 5th, the coverage will be the same. ... Some Squaretrade and Mack warranties will cover accidental damage.

I have not registered the lens. I am not sure if you can register the lens because I am not a authorized Nikon dealer. I found this out from a new Nikon 100mm lens I sold.
I am not sure if a warranty is transferable or not. If it is I would have to resister the warranty and transfer it to you.
Perhaps someone on the board knows.
I will find out if it is transferable and let you know.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is great. It had allowed me to sell my Nikon D750 and only use the iPhone. I am giving up the Nikon knowing all the details and versatility the full frame offers. But I am gaining the freedom of having the iPhone and the challenges it offers.
One of my last considerations was not being able to print large copies. After some thought, I was reminded I never printing anything larger than 11x14 (8 x 10 and 5x7 most common) and I haven’t printed or purchased a print in the last 3 years.

Beautiful photos.

I have a Nikon D750, with a Nikon Battery grip. Two Nikon batteries. I also have a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR Lens and a Nikon D750 battery strap. I also have the three caps to cover the lens and camera body. All are in excellent condition.
Serial # 3174705
I will post the shutter count later today after I find a site that will give a shutter count.
However when I had the camera out a few days ago after it sat in the bag for a year and four months, I took the camera out of the bag and shot a couple of photos in the kitchen.
In the title of the last photo had 1600 in the file name, which seems about right. Except for taking the camera out and trying different macro techniques, the Nikon D750 made one trip the summer of 2019 to see the kids and grandkids in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Portland, Oregon.
The camera is getting a bit heavy for these seventy two year old hands.
(I am not sure if the camera is getting heavier or my hands are getting a little weaker). 😇
I want $1185 for all of the items listed above, including priority mail.
If you choose NOT the pay via PayPal as a friend or relative, then you need to add $35.00.

And I apologize for butting in, but still stand by my rational observations, even as I rejoice at being wrong ... this time !

And I did appreciate you “butting” in. It shows you concern for your fellow members and for that acknowledge you.

Sold to Petee who is a very professional business man. Any concern about his character or motives were dismissed after researching him and his company.
It just shows that people can not be judged by their length of time being a member of a BBS (I am really showing my age) or internet group.
To those of you that showed concerned I thank you, even though it was not warranted.

I’m thinking of selling my Canon RP and purchasing a Leica D-lux 7, I would like to down size for the convinces for traveling. ( I’m not going anywhere right now). I have been using the camera to take photos of my family and some landscapes, I do some printing between 4x6” or 8x10” with my Canon P100 printer. Any thoughts on this matter? Happy and better New Year for everyone.

And a Happy New Year to you too.

Hi, rvenneman,
I expect not! Some of the hottest, driest, thirstiest days I’ve ever spent searching out old rock art was out in your neck of the woods!

My weather station hit 122 last summer. We had to stay because of the doctors. That is the last summer I am spending here.
It is time for my three and my lady’s two to pay for the years we housed them.
A very 🎊 Happy New Year 🎉to you in 2021. The best is yet to come. 😇

Well said. I like Luminar 4 and Luminar ai and like what Skylum is doing and are attempting to do.
For me, Luminar 4 and Luminar ai are one of the “game changers” that a lot developers are starting to copy. Is it Perfect? No. Does it have a few bugs? Yes. Was and is Photoshop Lightroom Perfect? No. Do they get some bugs? Yes.
How many bugs has Photoshop had in its 30 years of existence?
I say “Chill out.” Give them a break. They are trying to create a new direction in photo editing.
I preordered Luminar ai. I joined Luminar X. I try to support the developers of any product I purchase. They need money to develop updates and upgrades. I support Adobe in my $10 a month plan. How many people pay at least $10 a month for Adobe products.

Because they had thousands of people that bought the early version , like me, and many of whom are satisfied. It always amazes me that some people have to get nasty about getting a refund, with no regard to the companies issues. I think they are doing a good job, and dislike all the haters that dump on this company that seems to be honest and trying to do the right thing. I wonder how any of you would like the consumer response if you had poured your heart and soul into something to have that response. I can tell you that Me and one other company developed online training, in my case in 1995 and after spending $250K of my own money did not have the legs to get it all the way to market. I did have some haters that thought it should be this or that, and dumped on it, but none of them invested a dime in making it successful. I only think that today I would have a winner, with all the online courses out there. So, the point is, be kind, unless you have something invested other than the cost of dinner for two!
