Thanks, everyone! And forbescat, thanks, you're right - I have 100's of images of these flowers in their resplendent pink, but this one is really my fav.

Wow very nice! I can just about touch it!
Thank you! I have a 14-ft-tall Rhodo bush growing next to my home that blooms for about a week each May.
Thanks- the sun was almost directly behind the jets, making it a little problematic. Seems there is often a challenging compromise or two involved in event photography, much as I try to plan things out, lol. I like to position myself towards one end of the airshow rather than the sought-after show center. That way I miss some shots, but other opportunities present themselves.
Thanks! I found the leaf on my front porch and thought "hmm..." :)
A set-up shot with Pentax K-5 and D/FA100mm Macro, I was going for a sort of abstract effect...
Rhododendron bloom, B&W conversion in Lightroom 3, minor adjustments in Photoshop CS5, shot with Pentax K-5 and D/FA 100mm Macro.
From a Blue Angels show last year.
Pentax K20D and DA55-300 lens
It's a very nice camera- you could invest in an ND filter or two in case you run into the afore-mentioned shutter speed-maxed-out problem.
Wow, great place, great photos! I could spend all morning there. 8-)
Greetings from North Georgia- semi-in-the-sticks North of Atlanta. Looks to be a very nice forum you have here, just found it by accident. I use Pentax gear, and basically just have a lot of fun making (sometimes quirky) images. I'm already enjoying browsing all the images in here!
