Well, is all I can say is WOW, I knew this would cause some heated conversation, PC (Windows)and Mac both had some very good points to consider. Since I am going to be spending the money anyway instead of building my next machine. I do feel that I will be going with Mac on this purchase, if nothing else just to see for myself the difference in the two systems, then I will be far better equipped to make future decisions between the 2. Thank you all for your input and opinions, it has been a very interesting Debate.
This should turn out to be an interesting and heated conversation.
A little background on myself; I am an educated PC user, have built numerous high end windows machines, ran my own onsite PC repair service business, I am currently system admin of a windows based shop. I couldn't even tell yo how to turn a Mac on, but I am now in the market for my next computer. I have had Apple on my mind for a while, and have often heard if you are working with graphics Mac is the way to go. So I am now searching and researching for pros and cons of the PC vs Apple computer. So what is your thought's about either or both.
Am trying to learn gimp any good sites for tutorials, or any comments for or against Gimp. Any advice would be appreciated as well.

There are several shutter releases available that cost very little and if you combine with mirror up your images will be much sharper.

And thank you. I hope you didn't take my critique as negatively as it may have sounded. Keep trying; you'll get there!
I never take a critiquing as negativity, but as advice and personal motivation to do better that is why i post my pics.

Just in my never humble opinion....
All three shots suffer from camera shake which kills the clarity. Using a remote release (wired or not)? Didn't think so. The third shot shows less of it because of the longer exposure, but it's still there.
I like the second shot best, at 1 second. But at one or 2 1/2 seconds you're blowing out the highlights (the candles and LED's). This is not going to be done in one shot. You need to combine at least two, one for the subjects (as in shot 2 or 3) and another with much less exposure to get the details of the candles. Then combine with either HDR processing or selective adjustments.

Thanks all, some great input, the T3I is what i think I will hold out for thanks for the advice. as for the battery i dont think any bodies are using my battery at this time, but dont quote me on that.
I am looking at a Canon 10D body for $125.00 as a second camera to my Canon LS1, is this a good price or should i keep looking? I know this is an older camera but I think the price is decent, but just wanting a second opinion.
