I'm waiting for a company to come up with a plan that would say look, we understand how commercials interrupt the viewing experience so we are going to do three minutes of commercials at the beginning of a show, a one-minute commercial halfway through, and three minutes between shows. If it weren't for commercials, all exporters of content would be charging high prices for their downloads. I would rather have some commercials and pay 15-19 for a service than the 70 they charge for the ones that are commercial-free. If I had to pay for all the services I currently receive, the bill would be around 350.00! That would be more than I was paying for cable.

Two years ago I quit the cable service that was charging 235.00 a month and started steaming. Now I pay around 140 a month for most of the year but for five months I add Sling for football and basketball and pay 210. After the Nov. to March period, I drop Sling and go back to the 140-a-month billing.

The difference is 2820 vs. 2030, or a savings of about 65.00 a month.

With a VPN, you can get free apps that will give you everything you want, except local stations.

Try transferring the photo through WeTransfer.com. It will send larger files over the 25mp limit.

We Transfer can transfer up to 2 Gb free. I use it often.

I went to your Smugmug page and the garden railroad pictures are great. The others are too but I like trains.

Years ago I did wedding photography. At one particular wedding the brother of the bride was taking basically the same pictures I did. When presenting my final product for approval and setting up the album for purchase I was told they didn't like my pictures and didn't want anything. I learned a lesson from that and after that I told potential customers that NO ONE else was to be taking pictures while I was there.

It's currently 109 in the shade where I live. Hows the temp where you live?

If it is that hot in the shade, my only suggestion is to stay out of the shade. 84 at this time in my part of Florida.

There was some discussion awhile back concerning photoshop cc as a download for $9.99 per month. Some people said they were able to do so without a contract where they could cancel at any time with no penalty.
I will be taking an informal class of 6 sessions at UT, and need to have a copy downloaded on my laptop prior to class which starts next Mon. 7/24/17. I have talked to Adobe and was told that I could indeed subscribe at the above price, but if I cancelled within a year I would owe about 50% of the balance of the year. Could someone shed some light on the above? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Try downloading Gimp. It does just about everything Photoshop does and it is free.

You may have forgotten that you posted the 3D once before in a response to one of my posts. It does appear that you were active at one time in stereographic photos. Did you have the Konica's shutters synchronized to fire at the same time? If not there would be no need for the use of two cameras. If I had to use film to capture stereographs I probably would not be into it as much as I am now.

Yes, they were synchronized with an electronic release cable that I rigged up. With no one selling or processing slide film anymore, the cameras are in that case for ever.

Thank you for the inquiry, I hope the following information may help. I would like to see others doing some stereographic photos and posting them.

Single camera offset for two images which are then combined by a 3D method with computer software such as Photoshop. Note: two cameras of the same type and settings synchronized to fire at the same instance, this method would be preferable if the photo was to have moving images in it.

The offset distance varies as to the distance to the objects being photographed, and the lens focal length. For objects that are close such as portraits or objects less than approximately 10 ft. with a normal lens, an offset of perhaps 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches should work. This is the approximate distance one eye is offset from the other eye. Another way that may put you in the ballpark is 4 inches for every 10 feet. Hope this helps to get you into some 3D photos. Experiment by shooting more than one set at different separations you should then end up with some usable photo sets. Also, make notes so you can duplicate what works for different distances to the object(s) you select to photograph.

The separation distance also changes with the mm of the lens used. Telephoto/shorter, Wide angle/double the separation.

Note: Do not point the camera at the same focus point. Just move the camera to one side without doing so.

There are stereo cameras that are for sale for taking 3D photos. Amazon or eBay probably have them for sale.

I have been doing 3D Stereo since the mid 1960's. Here is one of my latest done with one camera with offset. Also pictures of my old twin camera setup with a home-made bar for different separations plus my Viewmaster camera, Nimslo and Kodak Stereo camera. Since everything is now digital I can't yet afford and twin setup.

Nice. The second one comes right out of the frame. What did you use to take the pictures? A stereo camera or single camera at different angles?

Jim. I hope you don't mind but I used the first two pictures, very nice by the way, to make a panorama. I had to crop a bit because they were not parallel.
