I was like you and used elements as my primary post editor but when I delved into LR4 it changed everything. It is like reshooting the same picture from your camera and making corrections hours later. I'm a traditionalist at heart and believe in shooting it correctly the first time around but that isn't always practical. That is where LR comes in. Best if you shoot raw but it works very will with JPEG etc. Elements or PSE really compliment it for creative editing and of course filters like Topaz etc also help.

It is worth the investment not sure I could live without it

I just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hi" . Hobbyist but love the the art! I get to travel with my job so I was hoping to hear from those who's live in the visiting cities ( will post individually) of the best scenic areas where you live.
