Really outstanding. They are certainly on my to do list before moving back to Colorado, but it seems rare to catch them low enough to get a good image. Well done

Thanks for looking. It is interesting to watch the bird behavior during feeding times. It seems that one bird usually a red winged black bird flies into a near by hedge and gives the ok that the coast is clear and birds start showing up to the feeders, then one bird gives a warning call if this guy is near. Unfortunately the small doves are the slowest to fly.

The quality isn't the best, but I have been trying to ID this guy for a few weeks. I believe it is a juvenile sharp-shinned hawk and he has made my bird feeders his personal feeding station. Other than the doves, the little birds are too fast. And he is too fast for me to get a pic. Today it was grab and camera and hope for the best, no time to look at the settings

I'm glad you added the download. Just beautiful. you can even see what was once the incline. It must be an omen, two post on the same day of the "Peak". We lived in Woodland Park for 25 years and had to move because of jobs. We are trying to get back to the mountains. I should put this on my wall to remind me of where we are going so the stress of selling our house here will just melt away. Thanks for the post.

Very nice. these guys are so graceful in the air, but sometimes landing is a little awkward looking. Best wishes for you to continue to recover from your surgery.
