Yes, take the camera back and get a Canon SX50. It has a 50X optical lens that is excellent on Hummingbirds. I have a Canon 7D with several Canon big zoom lens and the SX50 beats them all when you need the long zoom. However, you need to learn how to set and use the SX50
but there is lots of help on this site and the internet. Hummingbirds are my favorite photo subject.
