I ordered and use the L bracket from RRS for my 810 and it works great for me also.
Hello, from another Minnesotan. I hope you enjoy the forum, there are a lot of really kind and talented people here.
I use the Cotton Carrier with a D810 and the Tamron 150-600. It works well. You have to make sure the screw is tight and bring the allen wrench with you in case. very secure.
I also have the D 810 with the upper two of the trinity and the Tamron 150-600. I couldn't be more pleased. I shoot everything with it.
Thanks Jerry, after reading all the tests and commentaries I think I'll get the Nikon.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Thanks
Thanks for all your replies, I'll just have to flip a coin. the only perceivable difference was autofocus in live view. It seemed slower on the Tamron but I only tested in the store with indoor lighting.
Actually I would use a Nauticam housing for the cameras, They have one for the 810 and if the 750 is popular enough they presumably will make one for that also. I probably wouldn't blow anything up bigger than 16x24. I'm switching from an old Olympus so all my lenses will be new. I know what I need for underwater lenses, one macro and one wide angle. for wildlife I will get the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 and the Tamron 150-600. I'm just not sure which camera will be the better choice.
I just ordered the D750 due to a serious GAS attack, can't wait. When looking and trying out the two lenses on a 610 I thought the focusing time seemed a little slower on the Tamron which might drive me nuts. The 600.00 savings however is significant. Can you experts out there tell me what is the best choice, or the pros and cons.
I'm making the switch to Nikon so lenses are not a concern. Can't decide which way to go. Suggestions?
