Looking to sell my D4S. In great condition, originally purchased for sports action photography and it has served me well in that regard. My daughter no longer plays soccer, so it has been gathering proverbial dust for some time. Not sure the shutter count but well under 100K so plenty of life left in it. My profile has my Flickr link in it where a lot of the photos are posted, so you can see what kind of photos this camera can produce, in the hands of a non-pro. That when mated to a 200-400 f4 lens, which is not on the table. Considered selling on eBay but would rather put this into the hands of someone here who is actually interested in photography. Looking for $1599 for the lot. Will post photos if anyone considers purchasing.
Under exposure will help with the blown highlights. PP for the shadows.
I own both the D610 and D7100 and use the 610 90% of the time regardless of what I am shooting. But either way it is the photographer who makes the image not the camera...
Here's a couple of frequent visitors to my back yard. There's a whole family of iguanas that stop by daily to sun themselves in one of our trees. These appear to be the "Dad" and the other less elaborate looking large iguana "Mom" and three "babies" that follow them around. The babies are camera shy at this point... The sun was just right and they posed for a nice portrait. Full resolution can be found on Flickr:

If you use back button focusing that will help with the random people jumping into frame as long as you release the focus, the camera won't try to refocus on them. I started using that technique a few months ago and can't imagine not using it now. Give it a try.
Thanks for the feedback everyone :)

I shoot soccer primarily with a D610 center weighted focusing with 9 focus points in continuous mode. That has worked well for me for the last couple of years. I have tried the single focus point in the center, but find the 9 points to give a little higher keeper rate.
I've been using a D610 for over a year, mostly outdoor shooting. No issues with oils spots or otherwise. Good solid camera, I'd pick one up for that price!
I use a Nikon D610 with a Tamron 70-200 f2.8. The settings depend on the lighting conditions. I try to shoot in Manual mode if the light conditions favor that type of shooting. Sometimes with a mix of cloud and sun I have to put myself at the mercy of the camera. I try to shoot as wide open as I can to keep the background out of focus. All of the photos I have posted online have the settings displayed under information. The one thing I don't like is the lack of reach the 200mm has and the cost of anything longer!
