I like your photo… the way you chose to lay it out and the single color that you added to the black & white.

Terrific compositions, really lovely series. I'm curious if this was your first time east of the Mississippi? You certainly captured the flavor of an area far different from Wyoming!

Thank you! It was my first time East of the Mississippi. I saw a lot of beautiful countryside along the way, hopefully I’ll be able to go back and take more time to see more of the countryside.

I had some time to use while I was waiting for my husband's pickup truck to have some work done on it. So I walked down and took some photos of these old pickup trucks. They may be rusty, but still have an awesomeness about them.

Very good effort, do you still have it as a psd if so make a box in the shape of the picture pop it in the picture and by using the mask you could do it... When I have done this I make an oblong/square and fill with white, make it into a layer then cut the middle out and then go to edit prospective to give it the shape... Put your picture behind the frame and I use masks to get the results I want... Hope this helps...

Here is a very simple one that took about 5 mins to do..

Thank you for the frame info. I will give it a try.

Central, North Central, and Northeastern PA are full of treasures. Rt. 45 between Lewisburg (a picturesque town in and of itself, home of Bucknell) and State College (home of Penn State) is about 50 miles of rolling, two-lane highway that passes through two state parks and multiple Amish farms. I've been driving that road for over 50 years. Eager to make my next trip as soon as . . . well, you know. Avoid I-80 that runs more or less parallel to 45 (though it is not visible from 45). Small towns such as Aaronsburg, Mifflinburg, and others have some charming restaurants and old buildings. And farms.

Thank you for the inside tip! I hope some day to go back to the area and photograph more barns.

Gorgeous work. You successfully triggered homesickness for my home state where I lived until mid-40s. What part of the state?

We stayed in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and went out to different sites from there. Beautiful country all around!

I currently use a Nikon D500 and shoot mainly wildlife. While the camera is very good for other uses, I have always wanted a Full Frame camera and am planning to get a Nikon D850. I will keep the D500 for Wildlife and will look to use the D850 for Landscape and Wildlife. My question is what is the best lens for Landscape. I currently have a range of Zoom and Prime lenses(200-500, 80-400, 500 and 300)and a few other lenses(16-85 DX, 35, and a 18-300). I have looked at the 24-70 f2.8E, which seems to get mixed reviews for the money and the size of the lens seems to mean that expensive filters(Lee system) are the main option to maintain quality. The 24-120 has a greater range, but I am worried that the quality may not be as good as the 24-70. Any advice would be appreciated.

The 24-70 F2.8L is a great versatile lens. I use it for landscape and love it. I shot this photo at the beginning of sunrise. I do shoot Canon and not Nikon, but my friend that I go shooting with has a Nikon and shoots with a 24-70 F2.8 also. Her photo's turn out wonderful.
