I would recommend Adorama, MPB, KEH, or, perhaps, Robert’s Camera. Sometimes these companies will run promotions or offer discounts and/or extended warranties.

If you lived in the greater Youngstown, Ohio, I would highly recommend you contact Robby Yankush at YM Camera. You might even call him.

Can you really see a MegaPixel fall off after putting your Z8 in DX mode? Doesn’t the Z8 give you the approximate MP of your D500?

The XT3 is a wonderful camera. Ken Wheeler refers to it as “an XT2 on steroids”. We switched to Fujifilm when the XT1 was released, updated to the XT2, and now use XT3s.

Yesterday, I spoke to Christopher Gilbert of Fujifilm. He shoots a lot of landscapes. His preferred lens is the 16mm. After his presentation, I noticed he had the new 8-16mm. I tested it at YM Camera. It was awesome. The bottom-line is, try the lens or rent one before you purchase. Fujifilm is making some very nice lenses.

Alternatively, you can adapt other manufacturers’ lenses to the Fujifilm cameras.

We have sold gear to MPB. They have always been fair and timely in the exchange. To date, we have not purchased from them, but we would have no reservation if we saw something we needed.

We switched from Leica and Nikon ecosystems after Fujifilm introduced the XT-1. We upgraded to two XT-2s and are now using a XT3 and XT2. We really like the prime lenses. However, we also had the 10-24, 18-135, and 50-140.

We have been using a Metabones adapter to adapt a couple Nikkor lenses. If you don’t mind shooting in manual mode, you might try an adapter for your Canon lenses. It sounds like you have some very nice Canon lenses.

Most large photography shops will let you return merchandise within 15 days. You could try your Canon adapted lenses and even new Fujifilm zoom lens. Then, you could compare and return the merchandise that you prefer less.

You could also try used lenses from the same photography stores that provide 15-day returns.

Good luck!

We have a new XT-3. We downloaded the new firmware immediately after charging the batteries.

We use it more for photography than video. The focus seems faster than our XT-2, but I could not tell a discernnable diference in low light. Nor have I checked dynamic range.

You might want to check out a few of Ken Wheeler’s YouTube videos on the XT-3. Ken is very thorough and candid in his reviews.

Have you actually shot with both the D610 and DF? Frankly, we felt that the colors and resolution was considerably better on the Nikon DF. That said, we realize that we gave up video and some ergonomics.
