Thank You so very much. I will look into this model. You are right, I don't want to lug a lot of equipment. It would be hard while climbing a mt. It sounds like it will do all that I'm looking for.
Appiciate your input. When I purchase a camera, I will post some of my pictures.

My opinion would be if you do alot of outdoor stuff like hiking etc... if it was me, I wouldn't want to lug a bunch of lens and camera equipment around. I would get a camera like a Fuji S20 Pro that has all-around capability. It has a decent zoom, macro mode and double macro mode for close-ups like taking a close-up picture of a gold nugget you just found. You don't have that capability with SLR cameras unless you have different lens. The S20 is a good fit for what you would want to do. It has all most all the modes as a expensive DSLR camera, but you don't have to change out lens. I have one and I take it on vacation and leave my more expensive DSLR camera (and lens) at home. I take close-ups of butterflys etc.. as well as landscapes all with the same camera and they come out great pictures.I hope this helps, happy shooting !!

We are sure that this question has been asked a million times. But being new, don't know where to start.
Being outdoors everyday, we want to take pictures and share with friends, We hike, gold mine, and Metal Detect,
and want to record some of our adventures.
We are about to buy a new Camera and don't know which one would be best for us. Any Advise would be helpful.
Many Thanks,
