I am taking pictures to enter my home town Botanica Garden photo Competition for animals at Botanica. I shot an image of a squirrel playing on a peanut feeder with my Sony A7R4 set at an aperture of F2.8; a shutter speed of 1/1600 second; an ISO of 2000 and at a distance of 200mm. In post-production, I first cropped the image to include the entire squirrel and most of the feeder. (2) Then I tried cropping to get entirely rid of the tail and kept much of the squirrel and feeder. (3) Then I cropped even more to show just the head and upper body of the squirrel and very little of the feeder. I need to know if the excellent photographers of wildlife on UHH agree with me that (3) that features the squirrel close up in detail in 3/4 of the frame is probably the best image to enter in a contest judged by the master photographers in town, in your option, or one of the other two options might be best.
