I purchased the 50mm f1.8 D because it was so inexpensive that I figured I couldn't go wrong. I have been delighted with it on my D7100. The attached photo cropped down for this reply is less than 1/22nd of the image which was at ISO 400, 1/20 sec., f5.6, tripod mounted, and a remote shutter.
