I have a Nikon battery grip for my D7100. The reason I purchased the grip was because I much prefer how the camera looks and feels with it. I did hesitate slightly because of the price but it has done what I wanted and I have had no problems with it and do not regret the purchase. I did save some money with a Pro Master battery rather than the Nikon and have been satisfied with it as well.

Nikkor 35mm f1.8 is a great lens, very good low light capabilities that will compliment the D7100 nicely.

Could not agree more, a great lens at great price. I also have the 50mm and the 85mm but the 35mm is the one I use the most.

I have the 35mm f/1.8 DX as well as the 50 and 85, very pleased with them. I am amazed at how much one gets for so little money.

The insect isn't a dragonfly, it is a close relative, a damselfly. Both are in the order Odonata. The damsels are generally smaller, more feeble fliers, and their wings fold back when they land. They have similar life cycles spending part of their lives as aquatic nymphs prior to emerging as adults. Both eat other insects.

You may have been a pilot, now you are just an ass! Proof is the custom "T" shirts.

No sense of humor? All I got were smiles, laughs, and compliments. But then, there probably weren't more than ten thousand people at the air show.

Oh! I was expecting to see WWII pictures of airplanes of the "RAF" , the Royal Air Force. Guess I'm showing my age.

I too was a little disappointed, photographs of aircraft either old or new always brightens my day. The attaches photo is of my two grandsons with the custom "T" shirts I had made for them. The CH-46 is a later version of what I flew in Nam.

D lenses should also be less expensive (and lighter) since they don't have their own focusing motor. I saved about $200 by purchasing a 50mm f1.8 D AF instead of the G. The D version goes for about $134. The S in AF-S stands for silent wave motor. Since it doesn't have a motor, it doesn't get the S.

I purchased the 50mm f1.8 D because it was so inexpensive that I figured I couldn't go wrong. I have been delighted with it on my D7100. The attached photo cropped down for this reply is less than 1/22nd of the image which was at ISO 400, 1/20 sec., f5.6, tripod mounted, and a remote shutter.

Nicely done, I suspect the hawk was going over the battle in his mind.
I was in South Australia a couple of weeks ago and had a different problem, a dove that could't fly away. It had fallen into a watering trough and had drowned. I was saddened that I hadn't come by in time to save it but never less was struck by the contrast between the green of the algae in the water and the color of the dove.

I purchased the 50mm 1.8D because of its low price and have been surprisingly satisfied with it. Originally for a D200 but now on my D7100.

The Kenko does have glass in it and it is possible that I purchased it at a later date in the US. At my age, I can hardly remember if I had breakfast.

One is a 1:3.5 55mm serial #227026. The other is 1:4 f=135mm #890159 Bellows-Nikkor which can only used with a bellows. The bellows I have, also made by Nikon, will not physically connect to the D200 because the hand grip prevents it from rotating far enough. Using a teleconverter (right term?) extends the mount out far enough to attach the bellows. The teleconverter was made by Kenko an attaches just fine. All of this gear was purchased in Hong Kong in late '68 or Japan in early '69 and used on my then new Nikon F.

Thanks for informing me that older Nikon lenses need to be modified. I have two macro lenses I purchased in 1968 which worked just fine on my D200 but I haven't used them as of yet on the D7100 I recently acquired. What is the damage which would have resulted from their use?

I experimented with a similar effect last year. The attached photo was taken with a long exposure in low light. I opened the shutter and after a slight pause, panned the camera to the right as the model turned to face the camera. At which time I fired a strobe manually. Would have looked more like the photo in question if I had not panned the camera.
