Hard to get your best shot in those conditions. But you got the pelican in flight! Good for you.

Thanks Elliern! It was challenging but fun!

I was hanging out with 2 pelicans at the Indian River today trying to catch them in flight and diving for fish. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this one.

I was fully zoomed in and in motion so it's not as clear as I'd like. And there was a lingering foggy moisture in the air that lasted all day. it was a very cool day for pics here in Central Florida :D

Very nice set, but I do believe that your "high voltage lines" are actually "Cell Phone Towers" !!

Very interesting~ for some reason I thought cell phone towers were... different! I wondered about the birds up there :-)

Thanks for looking and for the correction!!

Depending on the subject matter and the available lines, etc, I find that the grid lines plus the electronic level so wonders for me!

I think I'm trying too hard to try and watch the horizon with one eye and the camera screen with the other. Thanks for the tips!

Nice ones Karla. I find using the grid lines on my sx50's viewfinder and flip out screen no problem, especially of course on horizon's. on buildings and night shots where it is more difficult, I find using picassa's straitening tool useful.

Thanks Doddy! I'll try using the grid lines and will definitely check out picassa
