I just purchased the V600. I am using a Mac Mini with Mojave. This system uses Epson Scan 2 which is different from earlier versions {no professional option). I had a problem scanning 2-1/4 slides. Either parts of the heads or legs were cut off. Then I discovered if you click on thumbnail options and choose medium instead of small and 6 by 6 rather than 6 by 4.5 you scan the entire slide. Since then everything has been great and I am very happy with the scanner.

After some research I settled on the Epson Perfection V600. My needs are to digitize 35mm and 2-1/4 slides covering 60 years along with B&W and color photos. I received the scanner on April 27th from B&H Photo. I am using the Epson Scan 2 software that I downloaded from the Epson website to use on my Mac Mini that is running Mojave. There are no problems and I am extremely happy with my decision and the results that I am getting.

The holder allows four 35mm slides at one time. The only annoyance is that I have to remove the film from the cardboard frame of 2-1/4 slides to fit that holder. It is time consuming. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better way?

Is anyone using the new cleanmymac X 2018 program? I have never used any 3rd third party program of this nature out of fear of messing things up and creating a much more major problem for myself. Just updating the operating system is for me a big deal. I am using High Sierra and will most likely move to Mojave soon. I have been pleased with the technical support provided by Apple but should not turn to them when things slow down. It is obvious that I am limited on the computer side of things. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I realize this does not address your question. But, Luminar 2018 will soon be releasing a digital management program according to a recent email. I got rid of PSElemlents recently and changed over to Luminar 2018 and I am very pleased with it. I agree that photos on the Mac is not very good.

Does PhotoSpills work on a Mac High Sierra or just Windows?
