Answers about eye protection are all viable but think about surgical masks for nose and mouth.
Been to Tanzania and Kenya several times and nose and mouth protection more important.
You will be eating dust for days. Can get them usually from local pharmacy. Buy a box (not that
expensive), your trip mates will appreciate them and you won't make enemies. Doc T
I have been using an "Echo Dot" from Amazon. Connected to my WiFi for signal and hard wired to
stereo amp(aux input). Am a classical music buff, listen to WQXR(NYC) and KUSC(LA). But there are literally
100's of stations to listen to. Signal is eceptionaly clean. Doc T.
Interesting discussion but I am reminded of a sign hanging over the men's urinal
at a restaurant in Jenson Beach, FL. "HE WHO DIES WITH THE MOST TOYS, WINS!
Lord Snowden was a fashion photographer who was married to the Queen's sister, Margaret Rose. She is the one who had an affair with Peter Townsend. She and Lord Snowden later divorced. Being from New Jersey, USA, that is the extend of my British monarchy knowledge. Doc T.
I know this sounds silly but I have been to Kenya and Tanzania 3 times. All of the protection for your equipment
is fine but get yourself some disposable surgical masks for yourself and companion. The dust is overpowering.
Probably get a box from local pharmacy or perhaps from your local MD or DDS. I was always happy to help a patient.

Just some more misinformation from "big pharma" to push their newer anticoag's. Prodaxa, etc. Interesting that the newer drugs cost $7 a pill and warfarin costs .07 cents per pill. Also please note that their is no antidote for the newer anticoag's yet. Warfarin's antidote is Vitamin K. Eat a plate of spinach!

These pictures stir up some memories. Somewhere in that crowd on the beach is a three and a half year old boy sitting on his father's shoulders. That was me! The ship burned off shore on Friday and Saturday. Washed ashore on Sunday AM. My dad took me to see it. Stands out in my memory as if it were yesterday. Thanks for posting it. Spent my summers at the Jersey Shore. I am 85 now and just about everyone I knew are gone. Thanks again. Doc T.
