The Lamar Valley is best for wildlife. Some great cabins in Silver Gate, just outside the NE entrance.

I am watching this post in interest because I told my daughter to check out the Sigma for photographing youth sports. T-ball so far with eldest grandchild. A lens is a tool. My mantra with tools is get the best you can. You will soon forget about the money but remember the shortcomings every time you use it. But lighter at 1/3 the cost may workout.

I would get the canon 100-400 if it weighed the same as the sigma. At 76 weight matters.

I have read reviews of the sigma 100-400 and the tamron 18-400. I would like to know what people who have used then think. Thanks.

I bought one of the Tamron 150-600 when they first came out. I have been very satisfied.

I have the canon 70-300 l and the tamron 16-300. The tamron stays on the camera. I can't tell the difference in iq nor can a bunch of people who have done looked at 8x10 and 11x14 prints from both lenses. Plus the tamron is a lot easier to carry around.

Smoke is in northern colorado-near ft collins. Not so bad though-a few years ago we had fire.

Does ANYBODY ever consult their manual before just blurting out a question?

No doubt that is probably a novel question to many, but you may just learn some things. :hunf:

Reading directions is a last resort.

Don't forget, you may be able to buy what you need from Carter (MT Shooter). He owns CameraCottage.com. He won't advertise on here for himself, but I, and many others, recommend him!

I have bought too much stuff from Carter. I recommend him too.

I don't know of anything specifically fitted for the Tamron 150-600mm with a body attached. I use the Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW for my big lenses with a body attached, but that is way to large for the little Tamrons.

EDIT:
I just tried the Tamron on a 70D body and fitted it in a Lowepro Scope Travel 200 AW Backpack bag and it fit like a glove. Surprised me!

I will buy one and if it doesn't work I will send you the bill. Thanks you do good stuff.

If enough people hounded Tamron about cases for their lenses, just MAYBE they would try to make some available!
LowePro Lens Case #4 will do the job.

How about with a 60D attached? Don't like changing the big lens.
