I use the Samsung Note III to image receipts. You know in a restaurant, Hardware store etc. My wife uses it to take food images, I agree that any camera is better than no camera and I have used the note for a snap shot when I don't have my Nikon available. No matter how good the picture, the picture is a memorial.
I spent two weeks in the Gettysburg area and froze my gonads.
Then it got so humid I could squeeze the air into my water bottle.
I think I will go on the first Mars Mission. It is the only way I can think of to control the atmosphere.
I bailed out of Minnesota for a Month and I am back. When I left it was snowing and when I got back it was snowing but it was 77°
Yes, I do love Minnesota, about 6 months a year. I have tried to get my wife to spend the good six months here and the bad six months elsewhere. No she says, I want to go away and live near my daughter. Do all women get senile in old age?
This is the best shot that I got that night  I woke up at 2:10 am and looked outside, grabbed my D-7000 turned off the flash and took a series of handheld shots. I know I should have had a tripod but half asleep isn't conducive to cognitive thought.
I didn't intend to get venus but I'll take it.
I have encountered him/her twice. It is never in a hurry and just plods around the yard. In the picture it is eating some stale bread that I threw out for birds. It didn't seem to mind.
I did not know that we had possum in the back yard, or opossum if you want to be technical.
This image of the Snowy Owl is not mine. I was out this winter hunting for a picture and I got this close but my hands were encumbered by gloves and by the time I got them off and was ready the owl wasn't. It was still quite a sight. By the time I got to the aw shit stage my wife handed me the binoculars so it wasn't a total waste.
I really hate winter. Let me say that again in case you misunderstood. I really hate winter. It is a dark, dreary, depressing time of year and I need it not.
My sister in-law is named Joan but hates it so much she calls herself JoAnne. I just knew that you needed to know that.
You are in Lahaina?
I have a couple of good friends visiting your island in about a week. Do you think there would be a way to meet them and give them an insiders view of Maui?
I love Hawaii literally. The Volcano area in particular. I want to live there but....
I have been trying to get my wife to move to Hawaii for ten years. Our last trip there she saw how close she came to coming home alone and refuses to even consider going back. The benefits of coupledom alas outweigh the determinant of singledom. I think inventing words is a bad sign.
Thank You all for the good words. I have been contemplating a move to Show Low Arizona. A snow storm caught me there a year ago but melted off in two days followed by sunshine. I can take that.It is also at 7,000 feet and not the desert of Phoenix and Tucson. While I try to carry my Camera with me I have had so little inspiration this winter. Gone are the days of just blasting away and hoping for the best.

I am one of those people affected by SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. It is neat to have a disease named after how you feel almost everyday all winter. I know this page is about photography but photography to me is light or the lack of it.
Hi, Have you tried http://www.oldversion.com/ Personally I was suckered into Windows 8 and whine everytime I use it. Fortunately I still have a Windows 7 machine that I use.
Good luck.
