Well done Phillip . . especially for a kit lens. I especially like the rose. You also might try shooting these against a black background.

Thanks DesertRover for looking & appreciating.
Will try out your suggestion upon my next visit.

Good set Philip, maybe just up the contrast a bit. Also it will be better for viewing if you tick the "Store Original" box, this will enable us to enlarge your pictures

Thanks Geoff for looking & appreciating.

Both pictures are nicely done. Not sure why you're disappointed. You have aperture nicely open, which is why you're getting some decent bokeh. If you wanted everything in clear focus (front to back), you need to close down the aperture some.

Dear I am disappointed because they are not sharp.request tips.
Or is this the max sharpness possible?

I wonder if your particular camera is defective in some way? What lens are you using?

Two big factor in battery life is how much the LCD is on and how much the flash is used. Do you get 250 pics using live view or the viewfinder? How much time do you spend reveiwing your shots in the camera?

Well 250 with view finder! No I don't use flash much as I have not indulged in night photography much. True I used to review my shots in the LCD.
But my biggest disappointment is with the sharpness..I am using the kit lens ie 18 -55mm. Can you post some of your pics just to compare?
Here is mine..

I own a nikon d 5200. Before buying it I had gone thru several reviews ..
Most people responded positively regarding the features available.
However I am not so happy with the camera.
Yes it has many features...but the pictures are not at all sharp..
I am quite disappointed by picture quality..
Secondly the battery sucks..the manual claims 500 pics..but i get some 250 pics.. Using Live view , the battery is big disaster..
Focus assumption of the camera is very poor..

I was up before the dawn..... so I caught this sunrise the other day, I'm not sure the 18mm gave me enough wide angle. Which do you like better? Enjoy

Both at its best!

Great pictures.
Your 9 of 16 is Bougainvillea . It is a genus of flowering plants native to South America from Brazil west to PerĂº and south to southern Argentina. Different authors accept between four and 18 species in the genus.
