Save your money. One time use protection can be made from a plastic bag, UV filter and a little bead of sealer.
Put your camera in the bag, and replace the UV filter. Run a small bead of sealer around the filter from the outside. When fully cured unscrew the lens from the filter. Now you can cut the unwanted bag from the inner surface of the filter.
Replace the camera with lens and seal the bag. You are ready to go!

Welcome back!
I got my first Nikon F in 1962. Nikon is now smaller but better in what it can do. You have used Nikon in the past so a 7100 would be natural for you.
If you can do so well with a iPhone then WOW.

I used PhotoShop until the upgrades got too much for the pocket book. Download GIMP. It is free and can do the job. The photo attached took only a few minutes to do.
