Don't know much about all of this stuff, but I do know we've received nearly a foot of snow in the last several hours, and my car got stuck in a shallow spot. It took a long time to get it out. I wouldn't dream of trying anything steep, because you would get stuck much sooner then in the shallow spot. As far as a steep curve versus a shallow curve, you better take both very slowly, or you'll wind up sliding off the graph.
