Nice live still-life.
For me, the cropping is just right.
Thank you so much everyone.... John, the space to me was actually part of the composition and the moodiness of the image..
An image from this evening.. No Mason jars were harmed in the making of this and the fish was returned to his much larger home with his pal after a 10 min. vacation in a crappy time share..

Great photograph. Where was this taken? Santana is one of my favorite bands. Listen to his music all the time. Never had the opportunity to see them live.
Bob
Thank you everyone!
Bob this was a part my Buddy held on his 43 acres in the Galena Territories of Illinois... We built a small stage and there was a pig roast with about 75 people...
I do not do much people photography, but was very happy with this shot. This is Alex Ligertwood the former lead singer for Carlos Santana for 16 yrs. at an event my good Friend threw a couple weeks ago.
Thanks Folks! I do a lot of still life, but don;t always feel I get what i envisioned.. This was one I felt I accomplished my vision..
One I put together last week using a few of the Phlox blossoms growing in my back yard...
Thank you all so much Folks.. Going through some rough times right now.. Thank God for my creative outlets...
Thank you so much everyone! Glad to see some Folks still use and appreciate these durable beauties.. :)
Larry, someday and archaeological dig will find your cans and maybe end up in a museum.. :)
An arrangement I put together last night...

Photographer gurus as opposed to Photoshop gurus?
The new old age argument... I am probably the least technical Photographer around and will never deny that I edit my images, but I still use GIMP and an entry level DSLR to create my images, while my Friends are busy spending thousands and have every gadget known to man.. They are what they are, an image that started with the act of taking a photo and enhanced like all the new world award winning images are.. I have a love of imagery, S.O.C., HDR or edited... If it is other Photographers voting on the images so be what they feel is worthy. I have no shame in editing..
Glad you commented, because your editing work is fabulous!
Been a Member of GuruShots.com for a few yrs. now and made Guru status over a year ago but just given power to host challenges and have one in review to be used.. Just curious how many here belong to the site and maybe have an idea or 2 for future challenges there..
