Actually I posted a PDF paper from Adobe that explains that color space is not part of a raw file, and that wen you set your export choices, you assign the color space, and ACR uses that for preview rendering, and will embed the color space in the file on export to the image file format of your choice. If you change the color space for export in ACR, you will likely see a change in how that image appears on screen in ACR, but only if you are dealing with colors that are not present in one of the color spaces - eg sRGB vs ProPhoto.

It is that simple.

Of course and lightroom is non destructive. So the rongnongno problem doesn't exist. You never loose anything unless you export in sRGB, but thats your own choice.

Import it where? I don't import anything. I open RAW files in ACR, which then brings them into Photoshop in whatever color space I choose.

Perhaps you have moved some map or renamed them. In that case you have to resynchronise so that LR can find those maps.

Err, you get that information all the time using the info tab from any property window and any tool selected, even just the 'hand'.

Yes, in my example it was a photo that I use as Wallpaper, but it works in any program, any window.

There is a very simple freeware program ColorPic. Just Google on freeware and colorpic and you find it. When you start this program place your cursor on any place on the screen and it shows the RGB and lots of other info.
I put a screenshot here. The cursor is on the orange dress and ColorPic shows RGB: 250, 192, 48.

Thank you. I think I go with the D810 and keep the D800 as a back up. With the difference I can get a 14-24 f/2.8 and have the holy trinity.

And the 14-24 f/2.8 is a very good choice.

Use Lightroom. All the pictures stay in high quality. With one export command you export a set of pictures in a chosen format and a chosen size. As often as you want.

Yesterday a made a serie of 600 photographs of a swimrun. In a few hours I did some corrections, horizon equal, dark shadows enlighten etc. After that an export to my sport photo site. Very easy

Your request is legitimate, but I would never do it: to give away my negative or RAW file.

The difference between the 2 pictures is so big that I asume a defect in your shutter. 1/200 goes well, 1/100 gives problem. Indoor you probably use a longer shutter time 1/60 perhaps, thats OK. Problem with the shorter times? Try a longer time outside.

I like the single pictures very much, but the panorama there I miss a composition, I don't know to look at. There must be better opportunities for a panorama.

But go on.

I have good memories of my visit to Great Dixter in 2000. Your pictures bring it back in my mind. Thank you.

Great results for this lens. The Osprey is one of my favorite birds.
I like the second picture best for the turned head. A pity that the tail is bound to the tree, thats better in the first picture.

I think you are very happy with this lens.

I think that too many people believe that upgrading their camera, when they already have a high end camera, will produce superior photographs.

Rather than looking for the weaknesses in your current rig or improvements in other models or brands, you will likely achieve better results by critiquing your own photographic skills and techniques. I know, because I have made that same mistake in the past, only to realize that the camera wasn't the problem.

Good morning to all :)

Currently, I am using Canon's EOS 5D Mark II, but my curiosity is forcing me to ask for information about Nikon's D800 and or Nikon's D800E and if any among you have had an opportunity to compare the differences of image qualities ? In a nutshell, I suppose that I am asking for you personal opinions in regards to which camera among the three is your favorite and the reasons behind your assessment..

Thank You & have a great day..

Why would you change from Canon to Nikon? Two great camera builders. The Canon 5d mark III is of the same superbe quality as the D800(e).
That is the reason that I stay with my Nikon d800. I don't have any intention to chanche, many cost to replace al my high quality lenses for the same high quality of another brand.
