You are obviously a dolt who cannot follow the specifics or context of a discussion you butted into by making yet more false claims like your comrades on this thread. My only issue was calling out a liar or exaggerator out on a claim they made. I did not claim anything or make any assertions so you are the one who is too ignorant to continue so please, give it up. You embarrass yourself.

Excuse me, but this is a public forum! I can "butt" in on whom ever I want. Furthermore, you conservatives express yourselves in a nasty negative manner most of the time. Perhaps you should stop embarrassing yourself with BS.

You provided for your wife and your children. You will take what this earth has to give so you can give the best for your family. And that is alright. You are no different than any other person on this forum or any of those who have posted on the thread. We are all the same because we all have to live. That's life man!

George Soros isn't average either. He is a billionaire socialist wealthier by far than the Koch brothers, whom you liberals constantly malign while you let Soros off free because he's one of you.

This isn't about me. It doesn't matter what I am, I'm simply putting facts in front of you lefties, and you despise facts.
You specialize in rhetoric and lies, all the time.

This problem is greater than all of us and is a bipartisan issue. At least Obama and Al Gore care enough to listen to the scientists on this one. And, some of us do conserve, recycle, donate, and care about the environment. Conservatives just care about the "bottom line". I am so sick of hearing about the greed and the lies coming from the conservative/ republican party as they try to screw the world to fill their pocketbooks. As saying goes, "when the last tree is cut, all the streams are polluted and the air is thick with smog, you can eat your money"!

Socialism: Ideas so good that they have to be made mandatory.

Socialism isn't perfect either. But, at least the liberals don't stay awake at night thinking about the war we created out of greed and lies. Too many people dead due to past conservative "principles"! The problem with conservatives is that they are selfish and greedy (and unrealistic). They care more about legitimizing rape than dealing with the real issues in this country.

Global Warming is a complete fraud.

Finally, humans are part of the landscape. What other animal would lament the passing of homo sapiens? Not one of them.
Nobody sets out to destroy any species. In fact, when we had finally conquered smallpox, the elitists weren't so sure we should extinguish them permanently. How idiotic can one group be?

Moreover, given the greed, the hypocrisy of leftists such as George Soros, and Al Gore, and Ted Turner, who is anybody on their side of the socialist aisle to condemn the lifestyles of average people? The most corrupt, the most environmentally destructive countries are socialist, and not free, as we are in the U.S.

That,s funny ,there have been mass extinctions for millions of years. Some of them were as high as 90% of everything and we weren,t here to create it. Get used to the idea "nothing is as sure as change". Contrary to popular belief the planet does not care if the human race is here or not, we are not the most important thing. Think Soylent Green.

There have been mass extinctions in the past over millions of years, but humans and human activity are main causes of extinction now and it is rapidly accelerating due to habitat loss. Oh, but I forgot, humans are at the top of the food chain so who cares?!

You are obviously too ignorant of scientific principles to understand anyway, so why not just give it up!

Your accusers are Misanthropists. They hold one of the most despicable and dangerous philosophies known to man - hating anything to do with human existence. It is at the root of many of the far out environmental laws such as are included in Agenda 21. Eugenics is even a branch of misanthropy.

Actually, everything you do impacts the environment which impacts plant and animal species. Deforestation is caused by livestock production and agriculture to name a few, which leads to species loss. We already know that fossil fuel use leads to global warming which ultimately leads to extinction. (Maybe you don't drive a car or heat your house with fossil fuels in which case you are way ahead of the game!) We have garbage swirls the size of New Jersey in our oceans and the oceans are warming. With the delicate balance of the oceans and forests being disturbed, we will see extinction and demise in the near future. We already have a diet of GMOs which hurts/ kills bees and butterflies, which directly effects OUR food supply. In short we must ALL contribute to helping out our planet before it is to late. You can stick your head in the ground and pretend it isn't so, but that isn't very productive or realistic.

HUMAN INTERVENTION

I could wake up every morning and get on my daily guilt trip because of the things that as a human am accused of doing. Just because I live in the south does not mean that I have ever own a slave. I have never shot an elephant or never knocked a baby seal in it's head for it's fur. I don't drive much but when I do I use unleaded gasoline. I have never cut down a forest nor have I harpooned a whale.

I am sorry for the worlds woes but give me a break. I can not watch a nature show with out being told about the damage that I am doing. Really? I'm just flipping channels and I find myself being accused of destroying the world.

It isn't quite so simple. Everything we do impacts the environment which impacts both plant and animal species.
Do you eat meat? Livestock accounts for a huge amount of deforestation. Half of the cleared land in the US supports livestock. Eating less meat is a good way to conserve and save animals.
Do you eat crackers and cookies? They were probably made with palm oil, whose harvest is a major cause of deforestation.
Do you heat your house with solar or wind? Our continued dependance on fossil fuel greatly impacts the environment. The oceans are warming the poles are melting and species are dying.
Do you take medicines? Most medicines were derived from natural products originally. Many more cures could be found from new discoveries in the already depleted rain forests.
Do you eat soy or wheat? Much of our foods are now GMO derived, and we know that GMOs impact the bee and butterfly populations, which directly affects our own food supply.
Do you use plastic? Do you recycle? Cutting down on garbage is certainly one way to help the environment, and protect species in the ocean and on land. Fossil fuels are used to make plastics and they are not biodegradable and impact the oceans greatly, where animals eat garbage thinking it is food.
This is a very complicated issue. If we do not make critical changes soon, our environment may become unlivable and the human population may well suffer in a hundred years or so! Knowledge is key because everyone must contribute to preservation.

Glad someone else has noticed. Climate deniers are dragging the rest of the world down--those who want to preserve and protect the Earth for future generations and all species. Seems they are only concerned with the bottom line. Hard to ignore Biology and Physics! Hope the country gets it together soon to try to stop Global Warming / Climate Change.
