Thanks again to everyone for responding. Hope all this advice is retained.
Thanks Jim - that is one of many solutions that ran thru the loose matter up there. probably would be the best.
Thanks to everyone, good advice from all. Copy and saved the links. Will just have to be more aware
A small embroidery company where I live, saw a couple of my photos that another friend had printed out and displayed in his home. The owner of the company and I got together where he asked me if I would let him use them so he could print them on coffee cups, metals, Tee shirts etc. He said that he has this agreement with others out here as a Verbal contract, and there money goes to a charity, was very loose.( hand shake - small town) Now some of my friends that have had permission to enlarge one of them, saw them in an art show. Dealer and friend conversed where some false statements were made. And then story change a little. What can I legally do? Ask for payments on all my photos that I find printed on product or charge him for digital print and he can use it as much as he wants????? There is just a verbal contract. Need some real good advice. Thank you from DAH, won't do that again. Don't want to ad photo

The D7000 has a great interval timer built in, so you can set it up early and it will start either immediately or up to 12 hours or more later. Then you tell it how many shows and how long in between you want. I am using a 25 second exposure so I set it for 26 seconds. Works great.
I read about this the other day in prep for this event.

Great capture! I've got so much to learn. (I would have waited for the fog to lift so I could get a clear image) The fog adds an interesting element to your image. Well done.
Thanks - I am learning too.

One suggestion: when posting an image for critique, please check the box labeled "(store original)",
so we can download and enlarge to appreciate resolution and detail.
Thank you, will make a real effort to remember to make that check mark.
Thanks cropped and reposted in the new forum.

I agree with the cropping suggestion.
Please re-post the cropped image to the new forum Birds In Flight/Birds On Water at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-112-1.html
You and Nikonian72 thought the same so cropped and reposted in the new forum Birds in flight. Have a couple more, would like your opinions.

Really like the feel of this image ... What about cropping the sign(?) out of the photo? This will also move the pelicans from dead center of the image ... still a pleasing image imho
Thank you, does look better.

I have learned that a 1.4x III extender does NOT work in the AF mode with a 100-400mm zoom telephoto, works only in MF mode. This is with the 5D mark III body.

Do teleconverters work or are they a waste of time. I was looking for something to help shoot high school baseball pictures of outfielders. I currently have a 70-200 f2.8 lens on a Canon T2i that can cover the infield but just isn't quite enough for outfield.
Hot it is, you mentioned the rubber from the vehicle tires, the roads are also rubberized in and around the city out here. The Northern part of the state is absolutely wonderful, one forgets it is AZ.

Great shot. The valley was always too hot to visit on our summer motorcycle trips, but circumstances in 2009 meant our summer trip was actually in late September. We took advantage of this and rode through New Mexico and southern Arizona, taking in the Tombstone, Tuscon and Phoenix areas, then NE through the mountains. In the valley it would still reach 100 during the day, but the evenings were really pleasant. Beautiful country by any comparison. Riding the busy interstates around Phoenix would leave our arms tinted black. Ends up it was tiny rubber tire particles that clung to our sunscreen.
