The beach actually gets raked with a comb on a tractor every morning. That's what the lines in the sand are from. I used a Graduated ND Filter in the first photo..

It was awesome to see a 13,000 Baby Humpback Whale up close but it was sad to see it struggle. I left with tears in my eyes..

I shot this Baby Humpback Whale that was stranded in East Hampton, Long Island, Ny. Sadly, this whale did not survive..

I shot both photos of the Wood Duck in Aperature mode. The settings on the first shot were ISO 200 @ f6.5 @1/125th sec @215mm. The second photo was ISO 200@ f6.5 @ 1/80th sec @ 200mm

I was very happy with these photos that I shot my first time out with the Canon SX50HS. I usually shoot with the Canon 50D or the Canon EOS5d. I recently purchased the sx50hs to just use as sort of a toy. I'm very impressed with it however, I wasn't expecting to get photos like these with it. I see that lots of people ask questions about this camera. I think it's a great camera to own..

I recently joined UHH and really enjoy it. I am from East Hampton, Long Island, NY. I mostly shoot Nature Photography but in the last year or so have also been playing with studio photography.. I shoot with Canon Cameras and lenses.
