Hooded Warbler at John Heinz NWR on 5/9/2016. I am posting this photograph not for its quality but because it is a photographic first for me.
This warbler was extremely cooperative but the light was very challenging,. I am very surprised that I was even able to capture this shot of this active little bird hand-holding an unstabilized lens at 1/80
Lesser Yellowlegs spooked by a juvenile eagle at Bombay Hook NWR. I often cursed the two immature bald eagles that seem to enjoy flushing all the water fowl at Raymond Pool particularly when the shorebirds fly off and disappeared. In this case I saw the eagle approaching so was ready to take this shot when this yellowlegs was flushed
