Getting old has great advantages.First, the moment to realize that we realize that our environment is considering us as "old" is when our ministers and doctors are much younger than we are. What are the benefits - good lucking girls at the cash register, waitresses, and lady bus drivers are calling us "honey, darling, and sweety" and make sure that we get a comfortable seat and are as people in need of compassion and respect.

Pictures taken with a digital camera tend to be "soft". Most of them need a little push in photo editing by either increasing the contrast and/or using the unsharpen tool.

I appologize for having given the impression that I consider Sony or Olympus cameras inferior to Nikon or Cannon. I personally owned Olympus and are also shooting Sony. The only reason I draw a line between these two and the rest is based on my judgement that if I want to establish an industrial strengh professional photo business, I want to make sure that I am able to add components to my camera that are state of the art, today and tomorrow. And from this ponint of view, I was looking at the $ 25 K and up market. Sorry for any misunderstanding, and remember my previous comments, the limiting factor in shooting great pictures is usually the photographer and not a specific camera brand.

Moving the tree into the first 1/3 of the picture increases the dynamics.

In order to fine tune a picture like that, use the magic lasso and work on the picture section by section. First the water, followed by a segment of darker area etc.
