How about 'please' or 'thank you'?

You obviously did not read the entire post. FYI, I use those two words on a daily basis and I indicated it was an oversight. The "magic word" for today is POLITE. Polite is the word I will use to describe the kind people on this link who saw my request for help and responded with advice, offering suggestions IN SPITE OF the fact that I forgot a word. IMPOLITE and RUDE are words I will use to describe the holier-than-thou people who jumped on my link with the sole purpose to reprimand me, while offering absolutely no PHOTOGRAPHY advice. I sent a PM to Dadyassa who stirred up all this strife, indicating my mind was elsewhere when posting, as my twin sister died recently and I had just spent my birthday without her. In spite of that I was told I had a "bad attitude". I'm not sure why I received this message because I unsubscribed to everything after that and a few other incidents. Perhaps it was so I could have a final say. I have seen others leave this site because of offensive people. I too, say good riddance to them. Life is too short to deal with this nonsense while simply trying to enjoy a hobby.

You certainly were lucky to get that shot. High definition?

To all those who offered help on this post, I forgot the word Please in the title. It was a simple oversight. That said, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please forgive me and thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to all who offered assistance.

Please :-)

I realized that after I sent it, and it was past the time to edit it. I did, however, say thank you.

lollipop, I would make plans to visit the place that is 4 hours away. And I can't help but to believe that somewhere between you and the 4 hour away place that there are some amazing photo ops too! Keep an open mind. You don't always need amazing natural beauty made by God to create beautiful photos.

I'm planning as we speak. There's a place in NW Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes that was voted the most beautiful place in America by the Good Morning America show. (I realize that's subjective). I haven't been there in awhile, time for a road trip!

Not familiar with that program but is there a blemish tool that clones the area around it. You might google to see if there is an explanation or search in uhh.

Bwarn, I googled this to no avail, which is when I decided to see if UHH members could assist. They came through!

Great photo & good job with my favorite tool, the clone tool !

Thanks Marilyng. I like this shot because it almost looks as if the water is going in one ear and coming out the other. The elephant was clearly cooler than the rest of us on that hot day. I believe the clone tool may become one of my favorites as well!

I have gotten very good at cloning this sort of thing out. you'll have to try and practice. Just edit each clone strike out if you don't like it.

Nan333, I intend on doing a lot of practicing using this tool. My guess is the wires may be a lot easier to get rid of than other things. Better to have a good shot and not even need it, but in this case it couldn't be avoided.

Yes

Use the clone tool, I have used Paintshop pro for 20 years my daily tool is PSP7

You are being toooooo complicated

Chose the clone tool (two brushes), LEFT click just above the wire whilst hosing the shift key, use the TOOLS OPTIONS to vary the brush size

JR, as I said, this is all new to me. For me, to Erase means to get rid of, and to Clone usually means to duplicate, which is why I tried using the Eraser tool initially. Thanks for your assistance, I've already practiced "cloning" this photo. Got decent results, will need to practice more. I've learned something new today! Thanks again.

Saw this elephant trying to cool off on a hot day and thought it would be a cute shot. I've tried removing the wires using the eraser in Jasc Paint Shop Pro, but the instructions aren't clear as to how to remove the wires after you've highlighted them. I'm new to software editing, read something about rastering layers, which is Greek to me.

Hi lollipop. I love all the photo ops that I have at my fingertips here. While out on the photo shoot of the rocks and beach at Crystal Cove I came upon another photographer who later I found out was from Switzerland. I thought to myself that this person came over here on her vacation to be where I can visit any day of the year!
With that said, I must also say that I'm sure you have beautiful places to photograph in Michigan. You have lots of lakes and cool nature places. If I lived there I would be in a canoe with my camera and have a blast!
Hi lollipop. I love all the photo ops that I have ... (show quote)

There are definitely some beautiful places in Northern and Western Michigan, about a 4 hour drive for me. Not quite at my fingertips though.
