relax- in about 5 years Microsoft or Apple will have a plug in available for us. It's already past the design stage they are just trying to figure out what port to use. Trust me !

I hope they offer a retrofit kit. I am using all of my existing ports.

Is this the best you can do?

Didn't you recognize yourself in that comment?

And your substanceless responses and refusal to back up your claims is considered very poor debating techniques in most quarters, and is tiresome.

If you hadn't mischaracterized my first post I would take your posts more seriously.

Do you have any other debate techniques? Your "Prove It" ploy is getting tiresome.

Yet again, you did not respond to my points. You resorted to ad hominems instead. People generally resort to ad hominems because they have no substantive arguments. Your opinions are uninformed and worthless. Next...

I saw no point to your comments except for your mischaracterization of my comments.

The example you gave did not fit your assertion of "scientific end of the world theories". You gave an example of "scientists who proposed the detonation of atomic bombs on the polar ice cap to slow the coming ice age during the earth's last natural cooling cycle." That example was not a theory of end of the world. Nor was that an example of a global scientific consensus.

Congratulations on your excellent eye sight. Splitting hairs like that is a real talent which requires excellent vision, a keen blade, and flawless technique. However, some talents serve little purpose.

Term limits are good but they must be properly constructed. South Dakota enacted term limits for consecutive terms. The result was senators and representatives swapping offices. To be effective, the term limits must be for terms in the entire legislative branch not just the house or senate.

T***slation: Ok, obviously I can't give you any examples, so I'll just divert and accuse you of some fancy words.

I gave the example. You chose to ignore it. My posts are short, and to the point. Unfortunately, I must leave the comprehension up to you.

As I figured, you have failed to come up with one example of the scientific community warning about "end of the world theories" in history.

A fine example of creative extrapolation.

I think you are confusing religion with science in history. First of all, you need to be more specific about what you mean by "end of the world theories". End times prophecies in history had nothing to do with science, but everything to do with religions and cults. The current science on c*****e c****e and the awareness of how human industrial emissions are effecting the global climate and acidification of the oceans, etc., have no historical precedent. This is the first time in history that the global scientific community has warned about this level of danger of the global implications of the current and growing effects modern industrial society is having on the biosphere, because it is unprecedented in human history. Can you please produce an example of a time in history when science has sounded a similar level of alarm about the global situation? And I wonder if you understand that the level of scientific understanding of the climate and geological/biological systems did not exist in most of human history, only a half century or so.
I think you are confusing religion with science in... (show quote)

Nice try, I was referring to things like the scientists who proposed the detonation of atomic bombs on the polar ice cap to slow the coming ice age during the earth's last natural cooling cycle. (I don't discuss religion with those who fear it.)

And yet you haven't demonstrated even the most basic understanding or acceptance of science.

Through history "science" has simply been the most reasonable conclusion based on the facts as they are understood at the time. This conclusion generally stands until the facts are proven wrong. In the case of end of the world theories, they have always proven false. There is no reason to believe that this pattern will not be repeated.

Is this your "logic". Again, nothing to do with objective information or scientific validity. Only ad hominems and hand waving rejection. Just another uneducated and useless opinion. Next...

Observation is a tool of science. Those who refuse to learn from experience are fools.

Chicken Little lives! I don't believe I have ever seen a time when experts haven't warned that The End Was Near! I guess we don't stand a chance. Sometime in the next few hundred years one of them may be right.
