Very beautiful series! Great trip!
My D3X has been my studio body for the past 6 years... bought it used and still going strong! It's a workhorse that at 24 megapixels does everything I need!
WOW... Very creative! A friend of mine was wondering though... is it FX or DX format!
It's not the result so much as the journey!
Also, on Creative Live, John Greengo has an excellent class on the D500... his cheat sheets for settings are fantastic... well worth the time... you'll love the camera, it is amazing! Good luck!
Nikon D7000, Nikon 18-300, f/5.6, 1/500, 200mm, lens right up against fence, eagle 20-25 feet away, bright sun behind me.
Your 55-200 will be your best choice as others have stated. Keep fence close... subject farther away... short DOF. Good luck and have fun with the grandkids!
Cotton Carrier... a little pricey but great support and ease of use.
Got the Topaz Suite at a Kelby Seminar... Use REMASK 5 everyday in commercial projects, and is amazing for compositing! I recommend the Suite highly and there is excellent training both from Topaz and on YouTube! Good luck!
I've used the Cru ToughTech Duovfor years and wouldn't be without it... Comes with or without dual 2.5 SATA Removeable drives. It is RAID 0 and 1 so you instantly have a backup that can be removed and stored separate from the unit. Very rugged and a necessity when on the road.

I have used the grip on my D7000 for years and wouldn't be without it. The extra battery life (especially in cold weather) is great but I have large hands and the grip makes it easier and much more comfortable to use the smaller body (gives it it a feel close to my 3x)... A must for my Sigma 150-600.
Regarding the "L" bracket... If you shoot on a tripod much it's a must have. You can quickly and securely change from landscape to portrait... Keeping the weight and center of composition and balance on the same plane. Both accessories are permantly on the camera. I would also suggest the Spider Hand Strap for extra support and security with added weight. Good luck and happy shooting!

4300 Westerbrook Drive... On 59 just before Ogden Ave (US34)
It comes with 12 different viewfinder adapters for various manufacturers... Fits well on every Nikon I have...
If using flash or strobe... Remember Shutter Speed controls "Ambient" exposure... Aperture controls "Flash" exposure. Set shutter speed fast enough to darken the background... Then choose an f stop to expose the subject for the flash.
