Appears there is some haze in the air... But the image looks to be in good focus, try using a filter for the hazy condition, that might help.

The image looks ok from normal view, but when you zoom in it appears way too pixelated, or something. It also appears you may have tried sharpening it a little too much as well. Just a few observations from my end.

Overthemoon, no, these were shot as individual images and I used photomatix to combine them into HDR, the presets are used to see which look you like :)

MtnMan, it all depends on which preset you give to the final HDR image. I have over 120 presets that I can use, and each one will give you a different result. For these HDR images I wanted everything in focus, so they were shot at the full 17mm and at f22, which may lend the hand in being a little "soft", but for the most part they are focused well enough for the results I was looking for. Sometimes the preset that you use in Photomatix will also make the images appear to be soft. You are more than welcome to take this image and enhance it as you wish. I am in the process of switching out hard drives, and I have my files everywhere. This is the only one I had readily available. Please post the enhanced image so I too can check it out!
