Copied from the web:

How Long Does USA Have? About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;

2. From spiritual faith to great courage;

3. From courage to liberty;

4. From liberty to abundance;

5. From abundance to complacency;

6. From complacency to apathy;

7. From apathy to dependence;

8. From dependence back into bondage"

Look at page 73 of your manual. You may have somehow changed the cameras native aspect ratio from 4:3 to 4:5.

You might try this site:
http://www.techspot.com/downloads/3689-adobe-photoshop-cs2.html
It has the legacy "Adobe CS2". Also in lue of "Lightroom" there is an open-source product called "Lightzone" which you can Google.

Thanks again to all who looked into this mystery for me. After spending much time on "Google" and finally searched for "vine with tri-lobed leaves" ,I got a hit with a picture that matched. It is commonly called Spanish Flag/Firecracker.

Thanks again

Here's the adapter as listed in Amazon:
67mm Filter Adapter for Canon SX30IS SX30 IS SX40 HS SX40HS SX50 HS SX50HS

Price: $8.89

What a bargain. The CPL filter thread size needed is 58mm.

Why would you recommend a 58mm filter when it is a 67mm adapter?

Watching a show on TV a few days ago, I learned that the term "Patriot Act," actually the USA Patriot Act, is an acronym for -
"Uniting (and) Strengthening America (by) Providing Appropriate Tools Required (to) Intercept (and) Obstruct Terrorism Act"

I never knew that.

If only the legislators put as much thought into the legislation as they do with the acronyms.

A few years back there was a chart going around the internet about how within 10 years the world would be dominated by Muslims.It showed the rate of births in each country by race,The muslims were somewhere around 7 to 9 children per family while other races were only 1 to 2. So if it true we are slowly losing our countries as we know them.Strength by numbers will rule, and there's nothing us bleeding hearts can do about it.We turned a blind eye for years and now it's to late to try and rectify it.It's like closing the barn door AFTER the horse got out.

It seems I remember many years ago when they found themselves overrun with rabbits the Australians built a large fence. It is time we all took a lesson from our Aussie friends.

Well, the British Govt. have welcomed them in and are now allowing Sharia law - so this should not be any surprise. Take a look at what is happening in France and Germany.

I can't for the life of me understand why Western governments are so myopic with regard to muslim immigration. It's seems that they do not have any inclination to assimilate. They try to get Sharia law recognized by the courts. There seems to be no attempt by the "community" to self regulate the the radical minority, if in fact it is a minority. I would have thought that they would have been happier staying in a muslim country and we would be all that much safer.
