Yes indeed. The Nikon F2 was more contemporary to the Canon and was modified into a more useable camera.

Nikon F1. The whole back came off for loading and the shutter release always seemed to be in the wrong position. I didn't use it much and sold it on. Good riddance. Canon F.1 is much better and I still use it.

Thank you LFM. I wouldn't get at all interested in old cameras if I were you. It's a terminal affliction. Sell that one of yours and forget about it! :roll:

For those of us with a severe case of 'oldcameracollectingitis', perhaps I can kick off a post which shows our oldest and our latest cameras. In my case I have my 1952 Kiev II squaring up to my Fujifilm X10 puchased late last year. It also happens that I am 60.
