Sidwalkastronomy - Thank you for your comments on the sunset picture. You got me thinking on how to improve it. I copied it to my desktop where I could open it and make adjustments with cropping and color. I think it improved the picture.

I know it could have been processed better but all I had with me was a point and shoot camera. It was use that or not get the picture.

This was the sunset behind my house and it was reflected in the lake I live on. We have lots of fantastic sunsets here in Florida. It's a little out of focus but I didn't have my regular camera with me.

I designed a 2022 wall calendar using photos of Florida from around where I live. I didn't want the standard photos you see on all the other Florida calendars. These are some photos of scenes of Florida but from the local area. I hope you like them.

I've been told peacocks are not good to have in the neighborhood. They scratch cars, pull up shingles on the roof looking for food and leave messes all over. This one was calling for a hen to come. When none came I think he left the area.

I have lived here for 31 years and this is the first time I have seen a peacock in the neighborhood. It's a beautiful blue peacock. It is also very loud.

I was going through some photos and came across some photos I took on a vacation to the Blue Ridge mountains. I really enjoy the mountains in the autumn. Here are a few of the photos I saw.

I used to live just down the road from Ausable Chasm in upstate New York. On a recent visit I went back to the falls after several days of rain. This is what I saw. On a normal day there is a gentle flow of water over the falls. This scene is not normal.

I got into my car and looked out the windshield. This little guy was looking back at me.

During one of our vacations to the mountains this was a scene one morning. Sunrise glowing on the mountains and a layer of dense clouds covering the valley.
