Welcome to the forum. I like your images. 15011 is the most that I have taken in a day. It was at a winter workshop in the Cascade mountains. A lot of those were bracketed shots. Hence the large number.

I thought I was doing well taking around 2,500 in 7.5 hours at the recent Scottish Airshow on the 5th September! So, even bracketing for them all (assuming 3 shot br), this is twice as many!

So how did you do it? How long was the workshop in hours - even shooting non stop for 24 hours, this would be 3.5 shots per minute, in 12 hours therefore 7 shots per minute - therefore giving you ~8.5 seconds to decide on next shot, place camera, compose and fire of the shot!

Go on, let us know - I'm impressed.

Hi,

I was in the same position as you recently and after much deleberation I went and purchased one of the Kata bags. The model I got is the 3N1-25 PL - it is from the Pro-light series and has a few extras over the 3N1-20 or 2N1-22 DL series bags.

I reallly like the fact that it is suited for either left or right sling style, or can be worn as a bck pack with both straps in use. And has a quick pull action for the opening when slung round the front, with enough clips to keep the area secure when closed.

It has plenty of space for my Sony A300 with battery Grip, along with 18-70 lens, and space for the 70-300 lens, flash unit, remote trigger, battery charger and all the leads to go with it.

It has four outside pockets, a bit small but take the filter cases and lens caps, for the kit I have, well enough.

The top section is good enough to drop in a few personal items - it takes a pack-away shower proof jacket and some food, or other electrical items (like DS's). This can be zipped open to combine with the camers storage area if you needed to either increase the camera storage, or if you removed the internal dividers, a fuller back pack (with the added benefit of it keeping a decent shape rather than being floppy!)

The back of the unit has space for slipping in an iPad - I haven't tried my 13" laptop, it looks a bit tight for that. But I can drop in an e-book reader plus iPad in that space without a problem.

I managed to get this in the sales, so saved a good bit on this purchase as well.

In comparison, I had a look at the Lowepro Slingshot 202AW - top section not any good for my needs, and it felt a bit cumbersome when slung round the front - not as easy to open for removing the camera.

Others I reviewed (only online) were the Tamrac - the Evolution 8 and the Speedpack 75 / 85. Similar to the Kata with access on both sides, but the access (zips) looks similar in practice to the Lowepro.

Hope you get something that works for you, and soon!
