I have a little friend hanging out on my front porch. He doesn't try to hurt us, but he is curious about us and comes close. I swear I think he was actually smiling for me in this picture. The others are him buzzing by. I know the shots aren't great, but it was fun.

I think your shots are great. I'm no professional, nor do I dare to criticize anyone's art. You keep doing what makes you happy and works well for you. If your interest takes you to a higher level and you want to learn how to produce professional shots, you'll do it when you're ready, right? Until then, just enjoy what works best for you. I love taking pictures of nature, but I truly love capturing people when they aren't posing. The natural look of people just living life is my favorite.
