Delete it if you want as I was only trying to see if it worked - which ever way up or even "up-side-down" the cats would be gorgeous and my main interest.

No, I really appreciate your help. God Bless you.

Not quite sure how you can rotate this image once on UHH have a look under search or help.

Lovely cats are they Siamese or Tonkenese.

The picture was rotated correctly on Picasa, but the rotation got lost in the translation over to UHH. I'll see what I can find on UHH to correct it. Annoying, I know, to have to tilt you head to see a picture. They are Siamese; wonderful cats! They get along fine with my Boston Terrier, Hutch. The three most photographed animals in the world! Ha

I took this with a point-and-shoot. These are my two cats, Tony and Cleo, in their favorite place in the house.

Here's a recent article about light leaks and the the view finder.

Thank you very much for the article. Even if it is just a potential problem with the D5100, you would think that Nikon would make a little plastic cover to slip over the rubber viewfinder.... and sell them in boxes of 100, since that would be an easy thing to lose at least 4 times a day! Their SOP for dealing with the problem stinks.

The D700 has a little shutter that covers the eye opening, but unfortunately less expensive (or less 'pro') cameras do not. It is unrealistic to expect people to remove the rubber gizmo and attach some other gizmo several times a day. The only time I worry about it (well, I don't actually worry) is when the sun is shining directly on the eyepiece. Then I just shade it with my hand or hat, and if I'm using a remote I just drape the camera strap over it.

Thanks! That seems to be the general consensus.

Quote from Jerry: Your avatar looks like me at night. I have two pugs with me on my big chair as I watch TV.

The background in Squire's avatar, looks interesting to me, I think he should give us a better view.

On the light proof cloth idea. I have a large one that covers my upper body, it allows me see the viewing screen when it's to bright out. I only use it when I need to take a real close look at what I've shot.

Those are my daughter and two granddaughters at our 50th Wedding Anniversary this summer. Don't get me started on sending pictures of them. UHH will overload and shut down!

Squire H and I know each other. He is an outstanding chess player and I had a copy of his photo of one of his chess sets in my archives. It looked better than a picture ofme.

I have seen the picture of him that he might have sent. Consider yourself fortunate that he picked my chess boards. Ha

Reply opens a blank box where you can type whatever you want - typically something new and not related to a specific user's comments. This is like starting a new conversation in the middle of another.

Quote Reply opens a reply box quoting the messages included in the one you are replying to so you can address their postings. This is a good choice when you want to give your feedback on what someone else said so they know who you are talking to and what was said.

As for the rest, no worries, we are all here to help!

Hi, Squire! Gee I needed an avatar and since I have hardly any pic's on the iPad, this one was there and it looked better than the two faced self portrait....literally! ...that I made with the camera that points to the user on the device. Whoa! You don't know who this is for real???

I can think of three possible "persons of interest." Declare yourself or I shall fire!

I mulled that one over before and I'm thinking maybe you could use a cover over your head and camera like they did in the old days! I personally haven't had any problems with that ,but its a thought. :-)

I don't have any problems with it, but how did you get my picture of the chess sets? The one on the left is what you get from USCF; the one on the right is the same set, but repainted and played on a larger board with sheet metal under the paper top layer of squares.... so that when I pick it up to go out on the porch of something, the chess chaps don't go flying off into the nether world.
