I must have pressed something that activated the face detection function. Oh my God! I can't get out of it. Under "Catalig settings" the checkbox for face detention is not checked and I can't get out of this function even after rebooting the app and the computer. How crazy is that. Thanx for ur help.

Ussually they can easily convert the RGB to CMYK if they need. Make sure it's a high resolution image 300-360dpi, their printer prints a little big darker so talk with them so u both can decide how much brighter your photos should be.
If u use Lightroom u can use their professional printing service named "BlurB". The advantage is that u take the photos, you PP your photos, you decide which photos should be together in a collection (if u need a book) And u can send the photos by clicking a button that says "Send to Blurb". Good luck.

The Mac comes with the Photos app which used to be Aperture. I tried exporting directly from Lightroom to the printing place and I would lose the enhancements I had made to the photo. So I tried to enhance in the Mac Photos app and the same thing happened, I lost the enhancements.
Of course I won't have 2000 keepers I was just trying to show the amount of work that u do and then the software does not accept the enhancements. I use the latest LR version in CC.

This is a new project and I want to make sure I didn't continue the workflow I am following. One question is about exporting your photos. It is difficult to know how each outside company behaves including how is their software behaves and how it clashes with your softwares. I am dragging photos from my grid in Lightroom CC Classic directly unto their window to upload the photos. It doesn't work all of the time but at least it works some of the time. I also tried to export photos from LR CC Classic unto the Photos app but I found issues such as the Photos app not importing the changes I had made to the photos in the Develop module, so the enhancements did not show in the Photos app.
I had a few photos that I had in the Photos app and enhanced within the Photos app and dragged these unto the company which will be printing the album. Again, any changes I made in the Photos app, let's say cropping would not appear after I dragged in the photos.
So, has anyone experienced this issue so that the time u spend in enhancing is worthless since these changes are not translated by software. I hope it's just me doing something wrong but my god sm I to lose all of the time it takes to work with 2,000 wedding shots? Thank u all, as always.

I really want to thank all of u guys. Learning is such a great part of photographic life. I value these comments and will definitely try to use more Silver Effects Pro which for some reason stopped using. Wow! Great conversation. Thanx again.

Would like to review workflows for converting photos into B & W. What is the preferred workflow for eventually printing your own B & W photos ve sending the photos out to a "professional" house for printing. Just wanted to see how all of you think about the topic. Thanx.

Thanx all. I was just trying to look for something that would automatically find all photos since I don't really know where all of my photo's are, especially older photos from older iPhones, Pam Pilot photos, etc. It looks to me that it may take me a long time to look for all photos vs to have some device do it automatically. I just do not know how the software organizes the photos. Is there any type of organization when using these decices? I am no using these "sticks" for long term storage just a fast way of finding ALL of the photos no matter where they are located, then bringing them to say LRCCClassic for possible improvement. Like I said before I used Aperture previously and for some reason I cannot open that software. Thanx again.

Have used Nikon kit lens 22-300mm, Canon 70-200 2.8. You should have a camera that u can shoot at high ISO. Should not use any flash while in playing time inside the court. You will need to position yourself accordingly if you are shooting a family member or just shooting for photography's sake. Speak with the refs ahead of time and tell them what you are going to and where you are going to be. You will shoot sitting on the end of the court, across the court and you should review other pictures you have in your mind as to the players' movements, etc. You will shoot at high speeds many times. Pay attention to dark backgrounds especially with black players. Try a few shots when they are practicing. It's a lot of fun and you will learn a lot as you go to more games. Have fun!

I have multip[le older computers and older external hard drives and of course lets say medium rare organization. Used to use Aperture but I cannot open the program and now use LRClassic CC. Is a back up drive a good alternative? Does the software classify the photos by computer or by hard drive. Does the flash sick keep RAW vs JPEGS? Just wanted to hear your thoughts on pro's and cons and of course which one is better than another. Thank u for ur time. I appreciate it.

My camera bag slipped off my shoulder as I was lowering it to the floor. It hit where my 70-200 f2.8 was located. (It wasn't on the camera.) When I pulled off the lens cap - this is what I found.

I know there is a lot of debate around the value of a clear or UV filter. As a friend of mine who works in a camera store said, "people who damage lenses with clear filters are much happier than people who damage lenses without them. My lens works fine.

It has happened to me too where the clear filter and/or UV lens was shattered to pieces which would have shattered my lens instead. There is no issue spending the money for protection, just make sure you take them off if you ate photographing the moon.

If I send my old film stuff to convert to digital it will cost me more than 100 grand. I have the usual snapshots, some really excellent work and a lot of medical lectures. I would like to learn how the resulting megapixel is affected depending on which “stuff” I am duplicating, which camera/lens combo I need to use (I don’t wish to overkill), iPhone vs scanning. I would like a good result. What is the maximum best result possible when you duplicate. Each “stuff), slides vs negatives, vs developed photos. There has to be a limit as to overkill. I don’t want to spend my time and not get a good or excellent result. Thanx a lot.

Maybe buy a set of inexpensive after market cartridges for a minimal cost just to see if the head is clogged. If they print correctly, then you can invest in better ink. If not, little is lost. I have a 3-4 year old 9000 pro MKII that hadn’t been turned on for years. A visual inspection of the cartridges showed several completely dried out. I bought a set of cheap cartridges on Amazon for something like $10. To my amazement, they printed perfectly. Knowing that, I removed them and felt justified in ordering quality ink.
